Animal Keeper Internship
Are you an enthusiastic student of Animal Keeper or Animal Management and looking for a challenging internship? At Wisbroek we offer you the opportunity to do an internship among beautiful and diverse bird species in our R&D Center.
What does the job involve?
As an animal keeper intern you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced animal keepers. You get up early to start your day at 7:00 am, because our feathered friends are also active early. Your work will be completed around 4:00 PM. Of course, it is always possible that some work remains unfinished. We then ask for some flexibility from you with regard to the end time of your working day.
During your internship you will perform tasks such as preparing and providing feed, observing birds, furnishing and cleaning enclosures, and caring for young birds during the breeding season.
In addition to these daily activities, we also offer you the space to work on school assignments and develop yourself personally.
When do we have internships available?
In principle, we have room for internships all year round. There is of course the most work to be done before and during the breeding season, in the period from March to October, but every period is negotiable.
Who are you?
You are following a training course in animal care at MBO level 2, 3, 4 or HBO animal management. For us it is an advantage if you have an affinity or experience with birds. If you have a love for birds, it is of course great to be able to work with these beautiful animals during your internship.

Our Wisbroek R&D Center is located in Stramproy (NL). We understand that this is not always in your area. Don’t let that stop you from an internship with us. If traveling between your place of residence and Stramproy is not possible for you, we can offer you an internal room with private sanitary facilities where you can stay during your internship period.
